By enrolling in tutoring services with Edge Up Tutoring, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Services
Edge Up Tutoring, LLC provides personalized educational support for students in grades 1–12. Services may include reading, writing, language arts, vocabulary development, study skills, test preparation, academic intervention, enrichment, and other educational support services.
Instruction may be delivered in person or virtually through Zoom.
To enhance student learning, Edge Up Tutoring may utilize third party educational platforms including, but not limited to:
• IXL Learning
• Wayground (formerly Quizizz)
• Quizlet
• Blooket
• Kahoot!
• Google Workspace Tools
• Other educational technology platforms as needed
These platforms maintain their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. Families are encouraged to review those policies independently. Edge Up Tutoring is not responsible for the policies, practices, or content of third-party platforms.
Session Expectations
Students are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and ready to actively participate in their tutoring session.
Students should:
• Bring all required materials.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
• Participate fully throughout the session.
• Follow all directions provided by the tutor.
For virtual sessions:
• Students must remain in a stationary learning environment.
• Students should be free from distractions whenever possible.
• Cameras must remain on for the entire duration of the session unless otherwise approved by the tutor.
• Students should use the restroom prior to the start of the session. Session time does not pause for restroom breaks or other interruptions.
Repeated disruptions or failure to participate may result in the session ending early without refund or credit.
Payment Policy
Payment is due in full prior to the start of services.
Edge Up Tutoring does not currently offer payment plans for tutoring packages.
Package sessions must be used within the designated timeframe:
• 5 Session Package: Must be used within 1 month of purchase.
• 10 Session Package: Must be used within 4 months of purchase.
• 20 Session Package: Must be used within 6 months of purchase.
Unused sessions expire after the applicable timeframe and are non-refundable.
Edge Up Tutoring is a proud provider of Step Up For Students scholarships. Families utilizing Step Up For Students funding remain responsible for complying with all scholarship requirements and procedures.
Cancellation, Rescheduling, & No-Show Policy
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
Failure to provide at least 24 hours' notice will result in:
• Forfeiture of the scheduled session.
• A $30 inconvenience fee.
Students who fail to attend a scheduled session within 15-minutes or fail to attend without notice will be considered a no show and will be charged a $30 inconvenience fee.
The inconvenience fee must be paid before additional tutoring sessions may be scheduled or attended.
We understand that emergencies occur. Exceptions may be granted at the sole discretion of Edge Up Tutoring.
Privacy Policy
Edge Up Tutoring values the privacy of all students and families.
Information collected may include:
• Student names and contact information.
• Parent or guardian information.
• Academic records and educational data.
• Session notes and progress monitoring information.
All information is collected solely for educational and business purposes related to providing tutoring services.
Edge Up Tutoring will never sell, rent, or knowingly share personal information with third parties except when required by law or when necessary to provide educational services.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect student and family information.
Limitation of Liability
Edge Up Tutoring strives to provide high-quality educational support and individualized instruction. However, academic outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Families acknowledge that student success is influenced by numerous factors, including attendance, participation, motivation, effort, school instruction, and support outside of tutoring sessions.
Edge Up Tutoring shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in tutoring services.
The maximum liability of Edge Up Tutoring shall not exceed the amount paid for tutoring services.
Media Release Policy
Edge Up Tutoring may occasionally photograph, record, or share student success stories for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes.
No student's full name, educational records, or personally identifiable information will be publicly shared without parent or guardian consent.
Parents and guardians may choose to grant or deny permission for photographs, videos, testimonials, student work samples, or other media to be used by Edge Up Tutoring on its website, social media platforms, marketing materials, newsletters, or promotional content.
Media consent may be revoked at any time by submitting a written request.
Agreement
By purchasing tutoring services, scheduling sessions, utilizing Step Up For Students funding, or participating in services provided by Edge Up Tutoring, LLC, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
